Traveling Carpenter Position

Are you an experienced carpenter ready to take it "To The Trees!"? The treehouse business is booming and we are looking to add team members to our traveling carpenter roster! We are seeking experienced craftspeople with the following qualifications:

    • Strong carpentry skills with an emphasis on framing and finish

    • Open to traveling to job sites for 4-6 week periods consistently throughout the year

    • Hard Worker willing to work 50+ hour weeks (with great overtime pay!) while working on site

    • Open to learning best practices for working in the trees

    • Genuinely enjoys working with a team

    • Love of the outdoors - this job involves LOTS of fresh air and we typically work in all weather conditions (unless dangerous, of course!).

    • Positive Attitude

We are hiring ASSISTANT EVENTS DIRECTOR

Assistant Events Director

Treehouse Point is looking for an energetic and experienced person to add to our Events Team. The right candidate has event, hospitality and/or service experience as well as organizational and administrative skills. They must also have strong people skills and the ability to manage numerous logistics and events simultaneously. At Treehouse Point, things are always changing and growing. So the right candidate needs to be able to be flexible and adaptable with the influx needs of our property.

Schedule:

Saturday - Wednesdays 11am – 4pm (*except event days*)

*Schedule on event days will flex with needs of event*

This position is not to exceed 25 hours a week but will scale to full time during peak season. Flexibility is essential.

*Weekends Required*

Responsibilities:

•Host Elopements on Mondays and Wednesdays
•Assist with elopement couple communications
•Host Site-Visits
•Post Wedding Check outs
•Pre-Wedding prep
•Miscellaneous tasks

Qualifications:

•Proven experience in event planning and management
•Strong customer service and communication skills
•Excellent time management and organizational abilities
•Relevant experience in catering, hospitality, and guest services

Hosting Elopements on Mondays and Wednesdays:

•Prep all spaces need for the elopement that day
•Gather all elopement items needed for the day
•Check Cedar and the couple’s treehouse
•Greet couple upon arrival and escort to their proper places
•Greet photographer upon arrival, notify them where each person is
•Move items from cedar to treehouse
•Greet officiant upon arrival, notify them of ceremony location
•Check in with photographer 15 minutes prior to ceremony time to ensure they are on schedule
•During ceremony set reception, if witnessing set reception after signing
•Check in 30 minutes prior to end
•Clean up

Assist with elopement couple communications:

•Check emails daily
•Call couples when needed
•Send out 8-week reminders

Hosting Site-Visits:

•Greet couple upon arrival
•Have them fill out liability waivers
•Guide them through the event spaces explaining the process of the day
•Answer questions couples have about the venue
•Explain our “oddities” i.e. parking, catering etc.

Post Wedding check-outs:

•Check in with guests to ensure their evening went well
•Walk the property to assess final clean up
•Hold guest to 11am check-out/clean up timeline
•Check out wedding couple and give them their gift (two champagne flutes and thank you card bundle)

Pre-Wedding prep:

•Wipe down chairs and arrange them
•Wipe down tables and chairs on tent deck
•Check all event spaces are ready by 12:30pm
•Check couple’s treehouse and Cedar Suite
•Monitor phone and email for day of couple/planner communications

Miscellaneous Tasks:
(tasks may be added to this list as needs arise)

•Bundle thank you cards
•Wrap champagne flutes
•Prep check in cards for weddings

Compensation:

The pay is $30/hr (plus tips for hosting elopements/weddings) with hours being more part time in our slower season and more full time during peak season. Once the employee has reached over 30hrs a week for three months, they are eligible for benefits.

Pay: From $30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 25 – 35 per week
